Upon reflection, the gift of a Kodak Brownie camera in my early youth was a pivotal point in my creative expression.  Though I overlooked photography as a career option in that decisive moment, I eagerly returned to my first love only after collecting numerous degrees in other disciplines.  My soul now sings to the tune of my inner voice and I devote all my energy to learning and experimenting non-stop about my beloved art form.

First and foremost, I consider myself a visual explorer who seeks to reveal and interpret the wonderment of the commonplace as if a new found discovery.  Rather than skim the everyday world, I linger long enough to find moments of beauty in the mundane and commonplace.

For me photography is beyond mere craft or technology.  All my photographs are metaphors or inner landscapes of my internal vision as I view the world. Everything is a landscape, either in its organic form, or landscapes of the mind, face, scene or building.  Overall my signature style tends to be concept-driven images that evoke a dynamic simplicity of design, oftentimes with a layer of complexity that hovers behind the facade.

I simply capture the spectacle, reveal the familiar, catch the unique, and convey it to others.  I choose emotional expression over observed reality.  I capture images that transcend the ordinary.
